This was inspired by a painting I bought in Manila, done by a local artist named Nunez.

Launching this Project

After much trial and error, I've finally set a format which I think will work

to display my art. I expect that it will change as I learn more about site

design, so bear with me. I may stick with this format or set up an actual

website under my newly-purchased domain: greglocsinart.com.

Time will tell.

The header picture is a collage done as a study for a painting I have yet

to start. I had so much fun with the collage that I stopped right there.

It is a recollection of various visitors I encountered at a Cezanne

retrospective presented by the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Along with hundreds of other patrons, I found myself rubbing elbows

with the Culture Vulture, the Hungry Man, the Whining Child,

the Absent Parent, the Woman Hooking-up, Picasso's Bather

and Cezanne's retreating ghost.

Now that you know I don't take myself too seriously, permit me to say

that I am serious about making art. Learning and practicing it take up

a large portion of my time, since I'm making up for many years spent

in less rewarding pursuits.

In this blog I plan to display paintings and collages done since 2007.

Most are for sale, priced in Euros, Dollars or both with bold print

indicating where the work is physically located. Those which aren't

for sale are marked accordingly.
